Studying the fundamental interactions of charged membrane with nanoparticles
Our objective is to conduct an experimental investigation into the interactions between lipid membranes and nanoparticles during targeted drug delivery. The mechanisms by which drug-loaded nanoparticles engage with cell membranes have not been thoroughly studied, and the uptake processes remain ambiguous. We intend to employ AFM techniques in liquid media to analyze the interactions between ligand-functionalized nanoparticles and lipid membranes, facilitating the observation and quantification of the mechanical properties of the interface. This research aims to enhance targeted drug delivery and inform the specific of nanoparticle-based carriers.
